ODOP recognizes the unique value that women officers bring to policing, yet as noted by the Department of Justice, women represent only 12% of law enforcement officers. With this in mind, several agencies, including UTA PD, have come together to produce a marketing campaign that is aimed at highlighting the experience of women police officers to encourage more women to pursue careers in law enforcement.  This campaign will be assisted statewide through efforts of the Texas Police Chiefs Association.  We want to take this opportunity to give you a glimpse of the video (link below) that will be shown in movie theaters across the state.  Additionally, we will start incorporating this video into our recruiting efforts through our website and social media channels, beginning next week.
